Our Process: The 24-Step Search Process

Define the Client’s Opportunity:

•    Obtain a thorough understanding of all technical requirements as well as an appreciation of the corporate culture through discussion and research
•    Conduct a SelecSys Profile* of the position as defined by hiring authority/ies
•    Consult with Client to confirm our understanding of the opportunity in order to ensure satisfaction

Building a Strategic Marketing Campaign:

•    Present search assignment to Project Team
•    Assign project to Internet Researcher
•    Develop a captivating presentation, highlighting key features of the company and their opportunity
•    Compile a targeted “recruiting list” of direct competitors and other companies relevant to the search
•    Advertise the opportunity via print* and/or internet ads and networking with other industry specialists
•    Search existing candidate database for applicable prospects
•    Begin recruiting and screening candidates from all venues

Qualifying Candidates:

•    Confirm technical and cultural compatibility
•    Evaluate candidate’s accomplishments, motivations and objectives
•    Conduct behavioral based interview*
•    Notify candidates of any additional requirements of the company and obtain authorization i.e. background checks, reference checks, drug screen*…
•    Instruct candidate to further explore the company/opportunity and be able to support their decision to move forward
•    Brief Client on progress of search

Presentation of Candidates to Client:

•    Discuss “short list” of candidates with Client and provide a resume & summary report on each prospective candidate
•    Establish interview location/date/time and schedule selected candidates

Interviewing:

•    Obtain post-interview feedback from client and candidate
•    Schedule follow-up interviews / notify turndown candidates

Offer Stage:

•    Extend verbal offer to candidate, closing the candidate on the opportunity, offer and start date**
•    Client extends written offer upon verbal acceptance

Follow up:

•    Work with candidate through resignation and during two weeks prior to start date
•    Send quality survey to all clients and candidates involved in our recruiting process as a continuous improvement initiative

*As defined by Search Agreement
